How does family search convey relationship if i am related to a person through multiple ancestors (such as on my moms or my dads side). is it systematic, is it doctrinal in determining a relationship?

    See: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-does-the-relationship-viewer-determine-how-i-am-related-to-someone-in-family-tree

Basically it finds the shortest possible path between you and the other person then stops checking for other relationships.
