I just had occasion to use the Improved Merge Experience, and I mostly like what I see. Thanks.

I do miss the former carryover of the 2 PIDs. Especially for profiles that may have many multiples, having the 2 PIDs in the reason has often been helpful.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile asking for the engineer. Do you miss the four canned reasons provided in the old merge? Or just the PIDS?

Just the PIDs, really. If they want to add the canned reasons, I don't dislike them. I just like the ease of keeping track of the PIDs.
Today I was working on a family with many children. Each birth had been indexed multiple times. Each set of 3 (2 parents and 1 child) had been used to seed the original tree. So I merged the same people literally dozens of times today. It would have been so nice to have the PIDs automatically transferred.
