Assistance with a complex merge with multiple generations duplicated
Hi
Asking for help here as one of these people appear in my family tree and then a possible duplicate, and when I go in to look at it, I can see that the parents appear to be duplicates as well. Is there anyone who can assist as I dont want to make things worse.

This looks like a straightforward merge. The parents of the two Elizabeths are not duplicates; they are the same individuals. If you look at the profile page of the first, most longstanding, Elizabeth (K8JQ-94K), you will see that the two are recorded as sisters. (If you look at the profile of the mother, Lucy, you will see that FamilySearch is offering a suggestion that there are possible duplicate children.)
That Elizabeth is herself the result of 9 previous merges over the years. In November 2024, another user has created the second Elizabeth, G148-XJR, ignoring the fact that there was already a profile. Normally, you could chat to that user and sort it out, but, for whatever reason, it isn't possible to chat to her. So, you can merge the new Elizabeth into the old one yourself, keeping the old Elizabeth as the surviving person. I think that you should keep the existing date of birth of 22 July 1652; some of the previously-merged Elizabeths (and the new one) have a birth date of 27 Jul 1652. This is the same as the christening date, and I think that has probably been entered in error as the birth date.
