I have put out a discussion to see if it is possible that a person in my family tree married his sisters daughter. I suppose it could happen but I am inclined to think it is an error. Do I just wait and hope for the best?

If the people concerned are deceased, can you share the profile identifying code(s), so we can take a look at the people involved?
If anyone is still living, we can't help, because we won't be able to see their profiles, for privacy reasons.
