US City Directory - Do I index the information of an individual with a death date?

The project says not to index the information if the individual is listed as deceased. Does that mean that I shouldn't index the information of individuals with death dates?

Individuals that are deceased; ie John Smith, died March 3, '08 are not indexed.

From Project Instructions/What To Remember About This Project:

Do not index the name if the individual is listed as deceased.

    Here's what I recommend.

Read, read and reread the entire Project Instructions and the popup box (if applicable) before you index your first entry. The PI can be found at the bottom of every entry or by the last icon on your toolbar. The PI will answer 98% of questions you may have. You can always go back to the PI if you have questions.

Look at the examples under "What To Index." This won't cover every type of record; if it did, the examples would be a mile long. The examples cover the most common types.

Practice makes (almost) perfect. What I mean by that is, generally, the mistakes that are made—and this comes from reviewing thousands of batches—are spelling mistakes. Things like 19372 instead of 1937 for a year or Smithe instead of Smith for a name. We're human, it happens. I still do it 10 years on. I have fast and fat fingers. 😆

I recommend going slow to start with, but keep in mind the Due Date on your batches. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
