After entering the names in an image of a phone book, the quality check indicates that all of the blank records need to have an entry in them.

Should I submit the batch after all of the entries on the image are entered, or do I need to insert a <Blank> in all of the unfinished ones?

City Directories come with 300 preset entries. If you have less than 300, do these two steps:

Click on the trash can icon on your toolbar.

    FireShot Capture 022 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

This box will appear. Click All blank entries and click Delete.

    FireShot Capture 023 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

You will be left with the keyed entries and will be able to submit the batch.

Realized I needed to delete the empty entries.

In the city directories, there was no prefix, spouses surnames, or some other entries. I could put surnames and given names, and spouses given names, if available. Should I be putting [BLANK] in those spaces

You should be marking those fields blank by either Ctrl + B or the 4th icon from the left on the toolbar.
