There are a few things you can do.

The first is going to the first entry and adding entries before that entry. To do this, click on this icon.

This box will appear. You can add 1-99 entries at a time; if you want to add 100 entries, you'll have to do this twice. Click on Before the first entry and click Add.

I honestly don't recommend this way, because if you end up indexing 47 of 50 extra entries, you'll have to delete the remaining entries.

The other way is this:

In your first entry, delete everything that is in the fields. Stay in the current field, then click on this button on the toolbar.

What this does is copy everything from that field into the remaining matching fields in the rest of the entries, so the remaining entries, both keyed and blank, will not have anything in them and you can start over.

For saving work, batches are automatically saved at different intervals while you are working on an image. You can see the time it was last saved above the entries.
