I'm sure erutherford will be along shortly to repeat the answer to this yet again, but in the meantime, I continue to wonder: where did you (and all of the other people who ask) look for the answer (and fail to find it)? That is, where do we need to ask FS to put the information, and/or how can we suggest that it be labeled so that people will recognize it? The current location and wording are clearly inadequate, given the frequency of this question.

(The current location is in the General Indexing Guidelines, and the labeling is "Number of Entries per Image".)

    No problem.

Most projects now come with a pre-set number of entries. 99.6% of the time when doing Directories, there will be less than 300. To delete your blank, unused entries, do the following.

Click on the trash can icon on your toolbar.

    FireShot Capture 022 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

This box will appear. Select All blank entries and click Delete.

    FireShot Capture 023 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

You will be left the number of keyed entries and will be able to submit.

Feel free to ask any other question. We were all new (or getting back to it) once.
