Indexing question
Why do I keep getting:
Batch Cannot Be Loaded
The batch you are trying to load is not available. Please find another batch to work on. If the problem persists for a given project, try another project.
p0 | batch:p8127649
I have tried for over a week to finish a batch I started and this is what I've gotten since then. I just don't understand why there are no more batches coming up to index. Surely the powers at be are not being selfish and are hoarding them just for Roots Tech. Someone has some explaining to do because it is getting very aggravating to want to do indexing and not be able to do it. A I might be able to do batches faster, but it isn't very accurate. Humans can do a better job at doing indexing than any machine could!!! I am doing other things on this website, but it's a crying shame that there aren't many indexing batches coming onto FamilySearch.

There are no new indexing projects. Check out Get Involved for other ways to volunteer: https://www.familysearch.org/en/getinvolved/

Your indexing time may be over. The Due Date means that it's due by midnight GMT on that day. I'm in the Central Time Zone, and right now, CT is six hours behind, GMT, so my batch(es) is due at 6:00pm the night before. If the batch is not submitted by GMT, it is, essentially, thrown back on the appropriate pile for another indexer to pick up and complete.
The project was pulled. This can happen when there is an issue with the project.
Your access was pulled, which means that even if the batch is in your queue, it is not accessible at your current location. A gentleman asked earlier this week why he couldn't finish a batch that he started at a FS Center. It could also mean that your location does not have authorization to work on that project. I remember years ago that I wanted to work on a Wisconsin project, but it was only available to Wisconsin residents, and being an Illinois resident, I was shut down.
If you want to do other indexing projects, the National Archives' Citizen Archivist, Billion Graves, From The Page and Freedom on the Move always need volunteers.0
