I don't use a phone or apps, so I don't expect to recognize anything in the screenshot, but I can't even figure out what you're trying to do here: correct an index? Attach a source to a profile? Create a new profile? Something else?

What do you mean by "add people to the records"?

I am trying to create a new profile to add the person onto the record and tree

I guess you're using "record" as a synonym for "profile"?

As I said, I don't do apps or phone, so I can't speak to specifics, but the first thing I'd check is whether there's a required field or radio button somewhere that hasn't been filled or selected. In the context of profile creation, the most likely culprit is a "deceased/living" radio button.

However, it may not be your fault: there seems to be a recurring bug that shows up in various places on FS. I encounter it on the Catalog's new image viewer, or more specifically, the "add person" function that they've added to the "Attach to Family Tree" process on that new viewer. My experience of that function is one of three outcomes: "oops, something went wrong"; a new profile with image-based source attached; or a "Save" button that stubbornly stays greyed out, regardless of what I do or don't enter on the popup. (I have not figured out any sort of pattern for which one happens when.)

If the problem you're experiencing is the app's version of that stubbornly-stays-grey bug, then my next question is, is there an in-app equivalent of the Feedback tab found on some FS pages?

Yes there is a feedback button and I emailed support but never heard back from them

I have the App installed on my tablet just for occasions when someone asks an App question here. AFAIK there is no Feedback button when trying to attach a source to a profile.

@ChloeSlease Feedback rarely if ever responds directly to a user.

I haven't kept count of my Feedback submissions, but I'm sure they number in the three digits by now. I've gotten a reply exactly once.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile The app has just one Feedback button, and it is always available on the Help menu. Limited screen space on the app makes it impractical to put a Feedback button on every screen.

That button is well-buried under the 3-bar menu, Help, Contact Us, Give App Feedback.

We've been told regularly that Feedback needs to be given on the specific page/location where the problem was noted.

@Julia Szent-Györgyi The context here is the Android Family Tree app. This is in the source linker, trying to attach a record to a person in Family Tree (what you are calling a profile). When the source linker does not find a matching person in the Tree, there is an option to add a new person to the Tree (and then attach the record).

@ChloeSlease , I find when I do this, the Continue button is always enabled (as long as I have entered a name and sex). I'm using version 5.0.6 of the app now. But clearly your screenshot shows that there must be a situation where the Continue button might be disabled. I'm not sure what is different about your particular case.

Here's an example I recently encountered (note that the Continue button is enabled):
