Missing records
I am unable to find members of my family. When I type in their record number, it just tells me that they were unable to locate a record. There is a lot of information missing from my family tree all of a sudden, and I am trying to fix the information. My children and grandchildren are missing, and using their record number isn't working. I can't even find them doing that. Any thoughts on what could be causing the issue?

Children and grandchildren, if living, will need to have a "ghost" page created by you. Only you will be able to see it. If you are trying to see them using the their person page id number (that only they can see), then it would not show up for you.
If you want to all be able to see the same person page of close living relatives, you can create a group for that purpose, and only those in the group can see each other. My understanding is that the ID#s for the living in the group will be different that those in the main FamilySearch tree.

I assume that you received the profile IDs (PIDs) that you typed in from a relative or other FamilySearch user who has set up your children and grandchildren as living profiles. That is why only that user can see the profiles that they created; it is part of FamilySearch's processes to protect the privacy of living people.
If you and the other user (and any other users who are family members) want to be able to see the information that has been provided about living relatives, one of you can set up a Family Group and a Family Group Tree and invite other users to join it. Then you can create new profiles for each of the living people who you wish to include. You can link the living profiles to their deceased ancestors in the same way that you do within the main public family tree. As Jaelene said, the profiles within a Family Group Tree are separate from the existing private ones, and will have different PIDs. If you decide to take this path, then the sooner you start the easier it will be, because there will be less information to be entered in the new, shared, profiles.
There is information on Family Groups and Family Group Trees here and in the Family Group Trees Learning Center.
