I have a mom and son created by early FS staffers, from a birth record. It's just the two of them with no other profiles. I'm trying to merge them into the established family but am getting Something Went Wrong on the final step. During the verify step, all of the attached records from the destination (right side) profile suddenly appear in the incoming (left side) profile. Something is up.

After my initial failure to merge, I created a dummy profile (PMR8-VVC) and merged my original John into it. That worked. I then tried to merge Dummy(PMR8-VVC) into John (LXQC-T5P). That failed.

I detached the only record from Dummy(PMR8-VVC) and attached that to John (LXQC-T5P) and tried to merge again. No joy. I then gave up and renamed Dummy to John.

I now have John(PMR8-VVC), that I am unable to merge into John (LXQC-T5P).

It's the same issue for John's mom Agnes. I am unable to merge Agnes(99Z8-QPT) into Agnes (99DC-P22).

Besides merging, this problem could also be solved by deleting Agnes(99Z8-QPT) and John(PMR8-VVC). They have nothing going for them.

If someone would please do a thing and make this right, I would appreciate it.

Any merge I've tried for the last hour or so has failed with the same message. It seems to be widespread - not just the profiles you're working on.
I've tried in several different family groups, on 3 different browsers.
Windows 10, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, all fully updated.
Time to take a break and come back tomorrow.

@Ashlee C. If the engineers are not already aware, please.

Yup, I was teaching a class on merging, When the merge stopped working (at 2nd screen). What timing!!! The class was a demo, and then students went to the computers to do some actual merging.

Providence was on our side, as merge started to work again at that very moment when students headed to the computers. THANK YOU everyone who fixed the problem!!!
