    Hi @Joan Varina Campbell. Usually this happens because people just pull names from obituaries and mark everyone as deceased.

    To fix it, click on the pencil icon next to where it says 'Deceased', then click 'Living' in the top left of the pop-up window, and then click 'Save'. When it asks if you want to continue, click 'Yes'. For the reason, just write something like "This is me" and then click 'Submit'. It may take some time, but it will be fixed.

    Hopefully FS Support, as well as fixing the data, will take this up with the user who created the problem, who needs to be more careful with other people's privacy.

    @Joan Varina Campbell

    Good morning Joan. When you have a Universal tree like FamilySearch mistakes are bound to happen. Luckily they are easily corrected. You can see who last updated your information and try to contact them to see if they made an honest mistake or put it on the wrong family line (it happens) Kind of a shock when it is you though.

    See the article Correcting a persons vital information. or Changing a deceased person to living
