Catalog Print list 'stuck'

I've had a catalog print list sitting for awhile so when I go to a FSCentre I can keep a list of the places that I can only look at there.

Today I tried to add a new item that is locked by clicking Add To Print List at the top of this resource: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/503138 The system says it is added. HOWEVER, when I click on the Catalog Print List at the top, it has the same number of items. Nothing added.

So I tried to delete things that were already on the list. Nothing changes. I thought I could add the new one if I had. I reloaded the page thinking maybe it just hadn't caught up. No, the older items are still there and the new one hasn't gone one.

Help!

@JanW2 - Unfortunaytley when the new catalog was installed, old print lists were written over. The system is now working as designed for new print list options. Let us know if you see any issues in the new catalog. Thanks again!

Maybe you have been able to get unstuck since it has been several weeks since your post. After clicking on the link you provided I was able to add the item to my Print List, verify it was in my CATALOG PRINT LIST, print it and subsequently delete it. I'm not sure why you are not able to delete the item from the list and/or delete the entire list as a last resort and start over if need be. Below is a link that provides some additional step by step details to adding, printing and deleting items from your print list which you may or may not find helpful.

If not one more suggestion would be to contact a Family Search Center in your area to set up additional One-on-One help. See link below.

I hope these suggestions assist you in getting unstuck. 🙂

Thanks, Randall. I just checked and it's now empty. I don't recall deleting everything (I might have in desperation), but at least now I'm back to square one.

When I opened it, I was shown new instructions. Maybe the whole system has gone through an update. I know the tech team has been updating lots of areas.

    Cheers

My print list of 20 or 30 items just disappeared too. It seems like every time FS does an upgrade, I lose my print list. Why is this?

I searched this community for "print list" and the top hit in the search results was a thread called "What happened to my Print List?" I was excited when I saw the thread in my search results because I thought someone else had the same problem, and then I realize it's a thread I started in October 2023, the last time this happened.

I just sent this in a 'flag' report, Theo.

"I flagged this because it's unclear if people who can do things about these raised problems get them across their desks. Theo's mention of relationship of lost print lists to system upgrades is an issue the tech team needs to be aware of. Members of FS are suggested by others to use the Print List as a tool for doing research, so disappearing lists shouldn't happen.

"I know your hands are full with RootsTech prep right now, but please put this on the 'will look at the code' list for all the upgrading processes that appear to be happening."
