Duplicate names in city directories

I am indexing city directories. The instructions say not to index duplicates of names. However, if Geo Miller #1 has a wife named Theresa and Geo Miller #2's wife is named Joyce, is that enough of a difference to index both? I hate to leave the ladies out just because their husbands have the same name.

Yes, you should index both of them. The wife's names are different in a required field.
