Where to find post-1939 death certs

I am compiling a list of the interred at our local cemetery that do not have a named headstone. I have been searching the death certificate index that only has records up to 1939, but I have not found a free resource that shows post-1939 death certs. Can anyone provide a link or a suggestion? I need a resource with scanned images so I have proof of their burial location.

For post-1939 Florida, you can order from the State for a modest fee, much less than many states- -only $5.00 if you know the year. If you need Vital Statistics to search multiple years, then the price goes up.

@Gabrielle9205 Death certificates become public record after a certain number of years and it varies by state, so it's hard to provide you with any links without more information.

If you can offer a State that might get you some relevant suggestions. A trip to local library to see if they have Ancestry available may also be a route to go as well…

FamilySearch genealogical resources for Florida Is in the Souther States Research Group. When you go to this page, I recommend that you join this group. Next click on Florida which you will find below the page title. This will take you to the Florida Wiki page. Here you will find a section, Deaths after 1939. That will provide a lot of research suggestions as you scroll down the page including the county for the cemetary your are compiling a list of the interred who do not have a named headstone.
