Indexer skipped a column of data

I'm reviewing a city directory, and the indexer skipped the second column of names. I've heard that if there is too high a percentage of corrections by the review, the data is scrapped and the image is reindexed. I don't want to index 40ish names if the data won't be saved.

Does anyone have information, ideas, or suggestions?

If you do not want to add the names, go to Batch —> Reindex Batch. This pop up will appear. Select "Delete the indexed data" and click Return Batch for Reindexing.

In the ten years I've been here, I have never heard that a batch has been returned to indexing because there were too many mistakes. If there are 20% or more errors in a batch, it goes for a second review, which is above what we do in indexing.

That's good information to know. There's quite a lot to learn.

I wish I knew this. I just reviewed an phone directory batch that was a nightmare. The indexer skipped over more than 40% of the names and I had to insert and index all the missing records. It took me a few hours but I got the job done. If this were to happen again, I’d return for reindexing.
