Matricula General question

Has FamilySearch offered their help in digitizing church records for Matricula?

Matricula is slowly digitizing Catholic church records from many dioceses in Europe. My family is from Mombris, Baveria. I was so excited they are starting to do the Wurzberg dioceses until I read it may take up to 2 years to complete. There are only 200 churches in this dioceses. To me this is a glacial pace.

FamilySearch digitizes millions of records each month, it seems. If your family is Catholic, these are the only ways to trace your family back online, before civil records.

Does anyone know if FS has ever approached them for help?
