Adding information from Family Group Tree to Family Group Tree

Is it possible to add memories from one family group tree to another family group tree? That would be really helpful so I don't have to manually enter memories in both family group trees.

Or do I have to add all memories on my personal family tree and then keep copying them to my family group trees?

You add memories to your FamilySearch gallery, not to a particular tree. You then tag a memory to a person in a tree. Yes, there are convenient ways that make it look like you are adding a memory to a tree, but really these are just shortcuts that add the memory to your gallery and tag it to a person in a tree at the same time.

So with that understanding, the answer to your question is that any memory you have added to your gallery can be tagged to a person in multiple trees. You don't have to add the memory again — you just add the memory once— but then you simply add a tag into another tree.

Another complication is the visibility of the memory itself. You can make the memory public, if the people in the memory are all deceased, and that's simple. If the visibility of the memory is limited to a family group, then you can adjust that visibility to make the memory visible to more than one group.

The simplest way to add memories to multiple trees is to upload them to your gallery and then tag them. Once you start typing in the name of a person into the tag, you will see all instances of that person in all of your family group trees and can click the check boxes next to each one to link the memory to each record of of that person all at the same time. You can find out more about the memories tagging in the Memory Feedback group.

I am piggybacking on this discussion. The steps AnneLoForteWillson describes is not working for me. I've tried using Chrome and Firefox with no luck. No Memories display in the Gallery. What am I missing.
