I want to index directories, but after you get done you have to keep pressing the button that makes it fill in all of the blank areas & pages up to 300. So that is really annoying. how do I avoid doing that? I had like 90 names to index, but then there was like 110 pages to fill the b with. i hope that makes sense.

    Follow these two steps:

Click on the trashcan icon on your toolbar.

    FireShot Capture 022 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.png

This box will appear. Choose All blank entries and click Delete. You will be left with the indexed entries and will be able to submit your batch.

No, you should NOT be doing that.

Every indexing project I've ever worked on has included, in the General Indexing Guidelines, the link to "Number of Entries per Image". It says, in part:

    • After you have indexed all of the available records on the image, delete any extra or unused entries in the data entry area.

This is followed by instructions on exactly how to do so.
