I need to merge two entries, but no "possible duplicate" showing on "person" pages
Patsy Baggett - LN22-VCX - shown as living but she is not)
Patsy Ruth Baggett - GBTQ-2LR - deceased (correct info)
both are listed as children of the same parents…. So how do I go about the merge when there is no link on the person I will also need to merge two other children listed under the parents
Carl R Baggett LTRV-115 shown as living
Carl R Baggett LY8S-RBB shown as deceased - but he is not, and I have not yet received anything from the person that marked him deceased

The first thing you need to do is mark the living profiles as deceased. Then you will either get a possible duplicate notice, or you can merge them by ID.

As for the twin Carl R Baggett profiles, marking the other one as living will typically cause him to disappear from your page. Living persons are handled in a private space, so if you didn't put him in, he'll become visible to only the individual who did.
This does mean that living individuals may have multiple duplicates on FamilySearch, but that's just how it goes on this platform.

Since there is one profile marked as deceased, and another as living… I have learned now that in the FamilySearch computer world I need to "kill off" the living profile, then do the merge, and then resurrect the remaining profile ( as he is not actually dead, since he is my wife's uncle and we know he is very much alive). WHen you mark the person as "living" it sends a message to FS support and they must approve it.

Dale, duplicates of living people are "by design", meaning that you don't need to merge them before marking (or flagging) them as living. (What on earth does the system even do with them, if you merge them? It can't just make the erroneously-deceased one disappear into the private space of the person who entered it, which is what it normally does.)
If you encounter an erroneously-deceased profile in future (whether a duplicate of someone in your private space or not), I suggest first checking the change log: if it consists entirely of a single user's contributions, and they're relatively recent, try contacting that user before doing anything to the profile. He or she should be able to mark the profile "living" without involving FS staff. Depending on how often the user logs in on FS, this can be either faster or slower than a staff response would be, but the important part (to my thinking) is educating the user to pay more attention to living-versus-deceased status.

I emailed the person that initially marked the person as deceased multiple times, but never got a response. I have noticed on several other profiles the same person entering duplicates, entering other information etc… but never once have they included a source. I just wanted to get it corrected so went about it this unusual way.
