Is there a document or page dealing with how to improve person profiles to benefit everyone and not make it worse? How to be a good genealogist ? Examples of recent instances are persons detached from a family and the lone profile is cast into the ether, unconnected, much information removed, never to be found. Or sources added but the vitals are not updated to match, e.g. a christening added but birth year and standardized place not put into vitals where the computer and users can find it. Generally, how to edit a profile page so the data will trigger matches and hints; how to think like the computer.

There are regular webinars aimed at beginners. You can find recordings on the FS YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@familysearch/streams

You can also see upcoming live webinars on the FS website: https://www.familysearch.org/en/library/webinars

The Help Center has articles on almost any topic: https://www.familysearch.org/gettingstarted/

    Hope that helps.
