For future refrence, should I index an 'ex wife' in the 'spouse' section?

I'm pretty sure the answer is a no, but just wanted to be sure.

You will index the name if it is on the document.

Um, sorry to poke here again, but I thought I saw a comment here where I shouldn't index a spouse if it has 'wid' before it. Is there a reason I don't see it now?

@AnthonyHopkins5 It depends on the project whether or not you index an ex-wife. From your question about 'wid' it sounds like you're indexing a US Directory. The 'wid' means widow and the wid name in parentheses is not indexed so you will index Sarah Smith (wid John) as Sarah Smith and <blank> the spousal information. If you give the batch code where you see the ex-wife we can be more helpful

I appreciate the questions. They're very helpful for others of us that encounter similar circumstances.
