Does anyone know why there are two different entries for the exact same image and person? Am I just supposed to fill in the same information twice?

Sometimes, the images are deliberate duplicates (it will say if it is) or maybe the person scanning the image forgot to flip the page (hey, we're humans and it happens). If the second image is an exact duplicate, go here:

    FireShot Capture 071 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.jpg

Choose No, Duplicate Image from the drop down box.

    FireShot Capture 073 - Indexing Tool — FamilySearch.org - www.familysearch.org.jpg

When you mark it as a duplicate image, it will ask you what the current image is a duplicate of—in this case it would be Image 2 is a duplicate of Image 1—then go to the next image.

    Keep in mind two things:

If they are not exact duplicates; ie different record numbers, different birth dates, spouse's name, do not mark the second image as a duplicate. I've seen it in reviewing and it makes me go 😐️

Image 1 cannot be a duplicate of any of the following Images.
