Question about a microfilmed manuscript

Hi I am coming to SLC for Roots Tech. I want to view this catalog item, "Bishops in Canada: additional and corrections; Dudswell's turn, a drive around Dudswell, and index to latter." I can find this in the catalog but it appears to be microfilmed or microfiched. Has it been digitized? Do I have to pre-order it before I arrive for Roots Tech?

    Catalog reference: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/379404

All microfilm has been digitized - converted to digital images. The reference is DGS 7953710, and the D stands for digital. The publication date is 1983, making the manuscript still within copyright. That may be why it can only be viewed in SLC.

Many manuscript-only holdings can be viewed digitally, on one of the library's computers, when you are in SLC. This article may be useful, especially the Frequently Asked Questions section: https://www.familysearch.org/en/library/microfilm-microfiche-and-CDs

Checking WorldCat, my local library has a copy. I go regularly; let me know if I can help.

Thanks so much for responding. The only libraries I see that have it are FS and Allen County. I am in Long Beach, CA. But I am close to a FS library. Normally if I saw the notation that I could view something in the FS library, I would just go there. But the catalog entry for this does not seem to indicate that there is a digital version. It has a film reel symbol instead of a camera. I too thought all films were digitized. But I wonder about this item. Is there a way to ask FS if it was really digitized?

It is really digitized, but it's only possible to view the digital images in SLC.

My local is the Allen County (ACPL) which partners with the Salt Lake Family History Library. Much of the digitization of books and city directories happens right here in Fort Wayne.

Lucky you! Ok, so I will wait till I get up there for Roots Tech. Thanks so much. Glad I won't have to use microfilm.
