Regular User or Someone Official
Who is Family Tree user with user name (username removed)?
Just one of us regular people or not?

I believe when FamilySearch staff takes action in the tree, it's just the name FamilySearch with the logo. I had occasion to report something last month, and, IIRC, that was the username that removed the copyright infringement.

@Ashlee C. - but how does your intervention help the enquiry? Surely a username, as seen in FSFT, has to be permitted?

For those who are now very confused, the username in question included FamilySearch followed by a number. AFAIK that's just a username created by a contributor. Possibly misleading, but allowed under current guidelines. There's one I encounter regularly that is along the lines of "Don't send me any messages." (modified slightly to protect privacy)

While usernames are visible on FamilySearch, if a user has not actively participated in this discussion, we strive to respect their privacy by refraining from including it here.

@Ashlee C. Sorry! So how do we report such concerns? Post a link to the Family Tree profile on which it is found? Message it to a moderator directly?

@Gordon Collett If you are suspecting abuse from the user in question it's best to report the abuse. If you are wondering about what the user has included on a profile, it's best to message the user directly. For your original question in this discussion, either of the ways you suggested would work.
