New Behavior of Merge Screen - Bad
I just merged G1V1-FXD into G1MY-YKY. The latter ID had the correct birth date and place and death date while the merge 'loser' had a slightly different birth year and state and the death date was null. Where before the screen would show both fields on each subwindow and give me a choice to bring the 'loser' data over to the 'winner', now it automatically brings the field/event over to the 'winner' separately from the existng events and OVERWRITES the valid data. So now instead of a full birth date and place I only have a similar birth year and state, and instead of a full death date I have a complete NULL. This is not good behavior. Instead of letting me compare and choose, now I have to know to compare the different values of the event on the winner side and UNCHOOSE the bad data ELSE THE LOSER DATA WILL OVERWRITE.

FYI previous behavior was to only move an event over automatically if the 'winner' value was NULL. If not NULL the events were left side by side to allow the user to choose.

As another user, I have to say that that should not be happening. Sounds like a funny glitch that accidentally triggered that less complete birth information to move over. I'd suggest undoing the merge, try it again going nice and slow to make sure you don't accidentally click something, and see if it happens again.
