note that on a PC it shows as 0 seconds in length

probably something related to how the file was created - and maybe someting that is either corrupt or non standard in the audio file . The mac apparently is more forgiving of whatever it is that is wrong with the file and still allows playing of the file.

    @/KathrynKenderdinePeris

I found your Henry Kenderdine, and tried to play the audio file on my computer. It will not play on my Windows 10 desktop either (I'm holding out as long as I can to upgrade from Windows 10 😁). I happen to use an excellent program (Total Recorder) that does have a free trial version for evaluation, but to avoid abuse of the free trial version they have it insert an audible noise about every 60 seconds throughout each recording you make. The only way to avoid that is to register and pay for one of the full versions.

A free program I used a number of years ago is still available and still free. It would likely work just fine for this situation. You might try "Audacity." Try copying the file as it plays, and then re-save it using Audacity. Hopefully that will produce a usable file on your memory.

    Hope this helps.
