How is it determined who indexes or reviews specific projects?
I see help questions about different projects that I cannot access which led me to wonder what other projects are out there?

FamilySearch has contracts with the record custodians (state, country, church, etc.), and the agreement may stipulate who can index.
I've seen projects that could only be indexed by members of a specific historical society.
