Looking for information on the following family.
Werner Family Information
Gottlob (Gottlieb?)S Werner was born on July 12, 1791 in Langenbielau, Reichenbach,Schlesien, Prussia. He fought in the Franco Prussian Napoleonic wars. Around 1820-1825 he married Dorothea (Beruth?) They had 6 children that I know of, but maybe more. She died in Prussia before 1854. The family name may have been Woerner. Gottlob supposedly was a trained Veterinary Surgeon in Prussia. Their children are listed as follows:
Caroline Werner b.September 25, 1826 in Langenbielau and married Frederick Bartsch on October 10, 1853.
Beate Werner b.Feb. 5 , 1830 in Langenbielau and married August Kassner in 1854 in Prussia
Carl Werner b. May31 1832 in Langenbielau and married Caroline Dorn on August 21 1854 in Prussia.
Wilhelm Werner b.April 14, 1836 in Langenbielau.
August Werner b.June 15, 1840 in Langenbielau.
Ferdinand Werner b.Jan. 11, 1842 in Langenbielau.
After Dorothea died in Prussia, the family migrated to the United States in 1854. They left the port of Hamburg on September 1, 1854 and arrived in New York City on October 23, 1854 on the ship Catherine. They ultimately settled in the state of Wisconsin. Gottlob (Gottlieb), remarried on Nov. 10, 1855 in Herman, Dodge County, Wisconsin and had a second family. The children are listed as follows:
Amelia Werner(Warner) b. August 17, 1858 in Dodge County, Wisconsin. She married Adolph Werner in Dodge County in the mid 1870’s or the early1880’s.
Theodore Werner(Warner) b. June 10, 1860 in Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Herman Rinald Werner(Warner) b. July 3, 1861 in Horicon, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Oswald Werner(Warner) b. Aug. 22, 1863 in Beaverdam, Dodge County, Wisconsin
I would like copies of any of the birth, marriage and death dates referenced in the document as well as any records on Gottlob’s veterinary training as well as any military records. I’m not sure how much of this information that the LDS database holds, but I would like as much as I can get. As well, I understand that there may be Werner family records in a parish in Langenbielau ( now Bielawa, Poland) and I’m not sure if this information would be included on the LDS database, but if it is, I would like it, also.
Thank you very much for your assistance in this matter.
