When you find people you know are not deceased, if you edit their profiles and mark them Living a form will pop up for you to document why you know they are alive. This well get sent off to FamilySearch for an administrator to complete changing them to living.

You should also click on the user's name who marked these as deceased and also let that user know these people are still alive and to leave them as such.
