Incorrect dates of death have been indexed
Can you give me some advice on the attached page from Richmond. Gravestone Transcription Records.
The dates of death appear to be indexed incorrectly or am I missing something, they are mostly down as April 1905.
The page before and all the ones after that I spot checked afterwards all have this April 1905 date indexed.

In other words, the collection has more problems than just with dates.

Your URL led to a page in the Connecticut, Charles R. Hale Collection, Vital Records, 1640-1955 https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2658554
The top indexed name from that page, Louis Beckwith, is indexed as 1920 in Connecticut. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F723-642
Your original URL is displayed in the new viewer, which often has gibberish for a title at the top left. Those records are not from Richmond.
If I open the Citation box, it displays the correct DGS, 7592419, but also defines the records as from Richmond, Virginia.
DGS 7592419 is part of the Hale Collection https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/18917
@Ashlee C. @SerraNola Can you please escalate to the appropriate team on Monday? I can't even find a way to blame the place auto standardizer for this one. Thanks.

Thanks for that, your first reply was slightly too much technical information for a relative novice who has never gone into indexing.
I corrected dates of death for two people of interest to me before noticing a lot more with 1905 dates entered.
Wasn't entirely sure if I was missing something with my assumption of numerous errors.
Many thanks for your replies.

@John C Allison There are multiple kinds of errors in this collection: dates, place names on search results, place names at the top of the image viewer, and citations. Please be sure to verify what you find by carefully examining the actual image. Thank you, Áine Ní Donnghaile for catching this one.
