Illinois Naturalization (Part D) question - Batch [MQ2D-G3W]
Sometimes they include the name from the C of Arrival. Should I just ignore it? This form says C/A. Others have the name written a little below saying "entered the country as.."

Certificates of Arrival are not indexed. From Project Instructions/What To Remember About This Project:
Do not index affidavits of witnesses, certificates of arrival, certificates of loyalty, examination records, or naturalization cards in this project.0 -
I remember asking this question before a long time ago. They told me as long as the names are written down on the Petition I should enter them. Then later on I found the names on the C's of Arrival sometimes didn't match up when I was indexing New York a few years ago. I have been ignoring them lately. I will continue to do so now.

You will index the OOA and DEC.

It makes no difference where else a name appears. What matters is what's on the document you are currently indexing. It also makes no difference where that document got a name. If the instructions are to index all variant names, that includes all variant names that appear on the document.

Take a look at this Batch - [MQ2D-LL7]. She arrived at New York under the name of Maria Dima. The same name that is on the Cert. of Arrival.

No information is taken from the COA. Image 2 is indexed correctly.
