Why does Get Involved require a sign in now?

Soo very disappointed! The app Get Involved suddenly requires a sign in. The best thing about that app was that you didn’t need a username/password to quickly do some work. So many members don’t know their sign in or have forgotten their password so they go no further. Or they don’t know their membership number to create a sign on, or the parents know it so they have to call them. This puts up a gate that stops so many users. What are you tracking that you have to have this? What security concerns might this be related to? Please reconsider. I used to be able to teach people how to do this in 5 minutes. Now we have to fumble thru “do you have a sign on?”, “do you remember your sign on?”. End of teaching.

I thought that I'd read that there have been malicious actors getting into the site and causing various forms of damage to the data, leaving false entries, etc?
