Sharing My Life History with Family Members as I write it
Everyone was able to read each new chapter as I posted compressed pdf chapter files until the last three chapters, only I can see them and read them on my 'family tree' app - I have them all shared as 'private' files
Why are the first four chapters available to all family members and the last three only available to me?

You said that you "have them all shared as 'private' files." When you set the visibility for a memory, you can set that visibility as Private. If that's all that you do, then you are the only one that will be able to see them (whether on the Family Tree app or the FamilySearch website). But if you are participating in Family Group Trees, then in addition to setting the visibility as Private, you can specify one or more Family Groups that will be able to see the otherwise Private memory. If you do that, then members of those Groups will be able to see the memory.
I wonder if when you set the visibility for those last three chapters, you simply set the Visibility to Private for those memories and neglected to include the Family Group that you wanted to see them.

I did include the Family Group for two of the chapters but not for the third one, however, my family was still not able to access the two chapters should have been available to them. I did just now include the Family Group in the third chapter. How soon after posting a new chapter should it be available to the members of the Family Group?

Regardless of whether a Memory is public or private and shared with a group, a new memory goes through a screening process before or can be seen by anyone. That typically takes less than a minute, but can take a few minutes; a memory can even get rejected by the screening process, but if that happens, you'll be notified via email.
If the Memory has passed screening, setting its Visibility for the group should be practically instantaneous.

@Larry E Saunders Is your family able to view these last three chapters yet? Have you check through all of the earlier memories to see if there are any differences in your settings there as compared to the later ones?
