I can never seem to connect all of my family trees, and have some individuals who have locked profiles and I am not able to attach them to my tree even though the family lines show that I am connected to them. I need help findig other pedregrees that are in my tree as well.

@Kim10614 Thank you for your question. The important thing to remember is that FamilySearch Tree is one family tree. There really aren't individual trees.

Start with yourself. Add your parents and your grandparents to connect with other deceased people already existing in the FamilySearch Tree. What you are doing is working from yourself back one generation at at time. You will need to add any living ancestors to connect to deceased ancestors who may already exist in the FamilySearch Tree. When you add people, the system searches for possible candidates who already exist in the tree. You might see a pop-up that reads Possible Matches Found:

Check for your ancestor in these possible matches and click the ADD MATCH button if you find your ancestor in the list. See also: How do I decide if two records in Family Tree are about the same person?

A person's information is read-only usually because they are well-known and well-documented. Therefore, you can only connect to them by connecting to a descendent who is not read-only.

Please reply if you have any additional questions.
