Make adding "Private" photos to a group more reliable
When I am in the family group, and I am on a photo that I uploaded via an album or anywhere that does not automatically make it "Private," I go through them one at a time to make them private. Sure, it is a trade-off, but sometimes I find it easier to upload to an album first and then make them each private so I can go through the process in batches according to an album.
Anyway, I am getting sidetracked because I'm wishing that I could do more batch changes in albums like a batch "make private." That is not the reason for my post though.
There is a glitch I experience.
When I click to make a photo private, sometimes it automatically pops in the name of the family group as having access. Sometimes it doesn't. However, if I then click "Edit" afterward to add a name, date, or place to the photo, I see that the actual access is "Private" without any family group exception.
What I mean is that it leads me to believe that it has automatically selected that a family group will have access and I do not click the "X" on that because that is what I wanted anyway. However, when I switch screens I see that this access did not actually save.
If I click it myself then the access does save, but if it automatically populates that as the group access it apparently does not save. I did not notice this was happening at first, so I probably have many photos I thought had group access, while instead they are actually private access only. I now wish I knew how to easily see which had group access and which were private only. Either way it only shows as a lock, so there is not a way for me to see which ones in an album or a memories page need their access fixed. I just see a lock, but that does not tell me if other people in my group will be able to see the images or not unless I look at each image out of hundreds. Please improve this process on both counts. 1. Work out the glitch I described. 2. Make it easier to identify the difference between private and private to a group (maybe add a lock with a symbol on it to signify private to a group instead of just private).

@Michael W. McCormick I can't reproduce this error. Is this still happening for you? If so, can you give me the steps that you are taking that causes this error and screenshots , if possible. Also, what operating system and browser are you using?

@Michael W. McCormick There have been several updates to the system since you posted this report. I do hope that your issue has been resolved by these updates. There has been no further response from you so we assume that things are working well for you and are closing this discussion. If you find further issues with this please open new discussion in the Memory Feedback group as it more closely fits that topic than the Family Group Trees.
