error: "Unable to message this user"
I tried to chat with someone (username removed) and get this error each time.
The linked page doesn't seem to explain it.
Why might I be getting this error?

The most likely reason for this error is that the person you are trying to contact is under 18 (or has not set an age on their profile, and so the system has to assume they might be under 18). I imagine there are other possibilities as well.

Ashlee, Thanks. I'm confused though. FamilySearch as a rule publishes that same ID on each page that has a "note" or a "change" - ie showing who entered the note.
I'm not clear why, when it is on a Collaborate page etc, it is ok for FamilySearch to publish an ID, but when you are checking for error issues in the Community, that the very same tag is considered private??0 -
