US- City Directories (Part L) - do I index someone with a death date listed?

In the instructions it says not to list the spouse when the principal person has "widow" or "widowed" followed by the spouse's name. What about if it lists a person, lists their spouse, and then gives a death date? It looks like this :

" Michael F (Josephine M) died Nov 6 1927 age 35

I'm suspect the death date is for Michael, but can't be sure

You'll index Michael and Josephine. The date of death is for Michael.
