number discrepensies

I'm doing declaration of intentions and there are two numbers at the top of the document. One at the top is a three digit no and the one below it has no. and then a six digit number. which one do i use for the document no.

    You will use the one on, or closest to, the record number line. If there is no line, use the number that is stamped/typed/written (written numbers are mostly used on older documents) on the document.

    Often a three digit number at the top of the document is a page number and the Declaration of Intention number is below on or closest to the No. line.

    Sometimes there are three numbers as the Petition number has been stamped or written on the document too. Use the reference images and often you can see the Petition and know which number is the correct one for the Declaration
