_Still_ continuing frustration
My previous posts on the topic have all been closed, so here I go again.
A new variation: the marriage record has the precise birthdate, of which only the year was indexed. The profile has the month and year, but not the day of birth.
Oh, good, I think: the field's not empty and doesn't match the index, so Linker will let me edit.
Hah. Nope, it will not. The only field with a pencil is the sex. For the birth, "1827" sits to the left of "November 1827, Vienna, Austria", but there's no pencil to be seen.
Aaaarrgghhhhh.
WHY is Linker being so uncooperative? I feel like I'm using a screwdriver that's suddenly decided to go limp if the screwhead's at the wrong angle.
Please, can Source Linker be made consistent? Either always allow us to fully edit every conclusion, not just the ones that Linker happens to recognize, or go back to the old way, requiring that all editing happen on the details page. This "roll the dice, and check whether Mercury is in retrograde" behavior is infuriating.
