Is it okay if records are indexed out of order?
I'm reviewing a batch and I see that the first record on the page was indexed after the second record. (I imagine the person who indexed it got started and then realized they missed the first record, so they did it next.) Is it fine to just review it and leave it out of order?

Generally, we are to index from left to right, top to bottom. Personally, I would correct that mistake just based on this principle.
I hope this helps you!

Given the number of times I encounter index tabs/panels that bear no relation to the order those names appear on the image, I think it's fine to leave it. (I think I've only ever seen the "top to bottom, left to right" instruction on the one directory project batch that I did.)

Thanks for the input. I was kind of hoping someone from Familysearch could tell me that as long as the indexed information is with the right image it's fine to leave it.
