If one of the documents in an image has an overlay, the overlay is blank, but there is information visible below it. Should I just mark all the fields on that document as blank?

No, you should not index the document underneath the overlay - I think you might have a two page image - looks like an open book - so you would index the page opposite the overlay and have only 1 entry for that image. Use the trashcan to get rid of the unused entries. I hope this helps and whenever you have questions it helps to give us the batch number so we can see what you see in that particular project. The batch number is in brackets to the right of the project title and looks like this [MQL2-GSN]

@Jean Weldon You're welcome, glad I could help —- go ahead and index that cancelled PET or DEC from the Naturalization Project — even though the person cancelled their application for citizenship, the document may still help a future researcher find the person they're looking for 😎
