Example: when I search the catalog for Navidad, Chile it only gives the Civil Record Collection
I know that there are church records there as I saw them in the microfilms tears ago, plus there are records that have been indexed:
I went to a Family Search Center in Santiago, Chile, hoping to find there what I can not find searching the FamilySearch.org web site.
I did not find it and it is really problematic as it is the only way to confirm, correct, etc , of the informationthat appear in the indexed records:
This area is not the only one as also the church records images of Rosario Lo Solis( now Litueche) are also missing: what they have in common is that they are close; Rosario Lo Solis existed before the Curato de Navidad:
Can you add to the web site all what is missing?
if they are there How do I find them?
thanks

@Jorge Reyes Jimenez The description for the link I gave you is "Microfilm de manuscrito en Rosario Lo Solis o Litueche". Is that not correct? For Navidad is says "Parish register from Navida, Melipilla, Santiago, Chile". When you click on them it says they are viewable at a FS Center. They are NOT indexed and thus will not be found in the collection link provided by Ashlee.

@Jorge Reyes Jimenez Have you looked at the FamilySearch Wiki page for Navidad, Chile? Here is the link: https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Navidad,_Cardenal_Caro,_Chile_Genealogy
The wiki page lists a collection of Catholic Church Records for Chile 1633-2015. Here is the link to that collection: https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/3405096

If you make your search too specific, you risk not finding anything. Sometimes you have to start with a broader search and then filter the results.
I sometimes use keywords to search the catalog rather than a specific place and have better results that way. And, we must remember that the catalog has not been updated in several years, so recent additions may not appear in your search.

@Jorge Reyes Jimenez The Catholic parish registers for Rosario lo Solis and Navidad are now restricted for viewing only at a FamilySearch Center. These records are not indexed and not searchable in the Chile Catholic Church record collection on FamilySearch.

Thanks all for your answers: I was at the FamilySearch Center but no luck there. I will go again and will using the link provided by Ashlee C. as I have not try that.
The situation is very strange as I can go to the catalog, search for my city Santiago Chile, and among all the results there are the Church Records and If I click there, it shows me each church name with the time period that covers and clicking in the church name will produce the full details: individual file(film/image)in some cases will show that is indexed.
That is what I am Missing from Navidad and Rosario Lo Solis:
I will go this afternoon to the Center and hope all will work out
Again thanks for your reply0 -
That links to Rosario Lo Solis and Navidad as you wrote are the ones that I was looking for
again
thanks for the reply0 -
@Jorge Reyes Jimenez Because the records you need have not been indexed, you cannot find them by searching for the names. You will need to browse the registers - flipping the digital pages.

Hello, I see that you both have a "mod" sign at the right of your name, So I will assume moderator:
I have found a big mistake as a result of being able to search for the images of "Navidad" in Chile:
The link provided by Ashlee:https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/7637?availability=Family%20History%20Library
Indeed provides all Church records for Navidad, but I found a big mistake as the information is not what it shows the Image Group Number(DGS); 7854708
this number is used for:
Bautismo 1898-1905
Confirmaciones 1853-1917
Matrimonios 1833-1842
DGS 7854708 is a big file and is the same file for the 3 alternatives: What is missing in this big image group is Matrimonios 1833-1842.
I was this morning at a Familysearch Center where I saw the images but could not find the part for Matrimonios ( marriages)
Who can check or correct that?
thanks0 -
Matrimonios are in the third section of the DGS 7854708.
Collection: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/76370 -
That is what is indicated there but:: Matrimonios is not there. That 3 item is missing from that image file. I reviewed at Family Center but I didn´t find it.
That is what I am asking : Who can check this out?0
