I recently found out that my college friend and I are related. I know the common ancestor and path of the relationship, so how do I verify that we are related? What records do I try to find to link our families?

You'll probably want to use desktop family tree management software to organize the details. Unless you are participating in the Beta test of Family Group Trees, you can't see or work together on each other's living family members.

In the Solutions Gallery, you'll find links to several programs that can be integrated with your research on FamilySearch.
