Yes. Engineers are aware that the PDF markings are not consistent. I will add this to our Known Issues page.
FamilySearch is in the process of updating the Gallery. So certain inconsistencies/problems might take extra time before we seen any fixes. (Like the inconsistent PDF markings as well as the drop-down menus along the top bar for “Family Tree” and “Search”—which don’t match the drop-downs you see for “Family Tree” or “Search” from your FS Homepage.)
For now, here is what we can expect to see when it comes to the PDF watermark:
-In your Gallery, PDFs will NOT have a watermark distinction. You would have to open the Memory, where the Memory Viewer will function slightly different because the Memory is a PDF. Also, in the Information side-bar, it will list the file as a PDF.
-In a person’s page Memory Tab, you WILL see the PDF watermark.
-In a Memories Album, you will NOT see the PDF watermark.
Again, changes to the Memory Viewer and the Gallery are currently ongoing.
