Where is the village or town of Paranie in Poland?

I have a marriage record in 1852 of my 2nd Great-Grandparents in Parish Radziki Duze, Poland. Mateusz Dejewski and Jozefa Sledzianowska. It says she was born in Paranie? in 1835. I have not been able to find this town or village. Attached is the name of the village as written by the Priest. Does anyone have any idea where this village would be?

@VickiMartinus This Community has a Poland Research group where you will find researchers experienced in the area. I suggest you post there.

Often a place name has been transliterated or spelled phonetically. That can make it difficult to find the place on a modern map.

I'm not a Polish speaker, and I have only a little experience researching in Poland. In a quick search, I found a place "Pieranie" located about 100 km from Radziki Duze. That may not be the correct place, and I don't want to lead you astray.

One of my favorite stories is about the spelling of my family's place of origin, in Ireland, on an arrival manifest. They came from County Tyrone, and the place is spelled "Inachuttive" on that manifest. The place is Inishatieve. But, that manifest gave me a clue to find the place and how it was pronounced in County Tyrone.

Hope this helps. Good luck with the search.

It is important to know the geography and historical region of where your ancestors came from. At that time, it would have been under the occupation of Imperial Russia. What this means most administrative things were written in Russian instead of Polish. The same thing occurred for all churches recording their births/baptisms, marriages and deaths. You can glean some of the histories at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Partition Also… it could have been under the occupation of tje Prussian Empire. If this makes sense, click this village at https://www.google.com/maps/place/88-133+Pieranie,+Poland/@52.8051761,18.7766684,20717m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x470353349351de1d:0x4bd54ecb057471c3!8m2!3d52.7496333!4d18.4653584!16s%2Fm%2F04cvlf1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDgyMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
