Unwanted action expands siblings after attaching child

I've already expressed my dislike for the animated action, but this problem is really annoying.

After a child is attached, the section for siblings then expands.

In the record I was working on, there are a lot of siblngs, so the remaining children disappear below the bottom of the viewable area.

So I have to close the siblings section before I can drag them to their corresponding location in the linker and attach them.

Then the siblings section expands again, Aaargh !
