how to record sex change

In my tree I have persons who are born as girl and now a man, and also persons who are born as boy and now a woman.

How do I record this in FamilySearch. I already tried to add a new child with the new sex and the new name followed by merging the two persons. The website replies that both persons should have the ****, so that is not possible.
