iOS FamilySearch App Chat not working for app version 4.9.3 and 4.9.5.
I have received a notification from one of my friends who is using the FamilySearch App on the IOS Platform. He has reported an issue in regards to chat. He has used 3 different Ipad to test the chat function and here are the summary below:
1) Apple iPad running
- IOS 17.6 with FamilySearch App 4.9.5
- The chat feature does NOT work.
As he selects chat, a list of people is shown with their comments, and tapping on persons' names, etc, to view the full text or comment, the iPad screen goes blank and all the screen shows is across bottom. Tree, Task, Recents, Menu, and nothing else is displayed on the screen.
2) second iPad running
- IOS 17.5.1 with FamilySearch App 4.9.3
- Chat feature does NOT work.
3) third older iPad running
- IOS 16.7.9 with FamilySearch app 4.9.4
-The Chat feature works correctly with this Ipad.
summary
There seems like a code problem with FamilySearch App version 4.9.3 and 4.9.5,
that makes the chat feature unusable on ios 17.5.1 and 17.6.
I was wondering, do any other people are having the same issue? Wanted to see if this is a app version issue or an account issue.
